Description
The Matrix Open Air Prebonded Clay Lightener delivers up to 7 levels of lift and is ideal for freehand painting. The kaolin clay base and whipped clay texture provides no-drip precision and saturation, and forms to hair's natural bends making it perfect for a precise balayage service for any pattern. Pre-bonded with citric acid and glycine, it helps to protect bonds to keep fibers strong.
Directions for Use
Wear suitable disposable gloves. Mix product in a well-ventilated area. Use the scoop and mix in a non-metallic bowl. Slowly add Matrix Cream Developer 10 (3%), 20 (6%), 30 (9%), or 40(12%) volume (maximum) depending on the desired result. Mix carefully with a spatula or brush, until achieving a smooth consistency. Do not use heat.

This product contains persulfates and other ingredients, which may cause serious irritant, respiratory, and/or allergic reactions. Do not inhale or ingest. Prepare and use in well-ventilated area. If affected by inhalation, move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, get medical attention. If swallowed, call a physician, hospital emergency room, or poison control center immediately. Induce vomiting only if recommended by medical personnel. Get prompt medical attention. Use only as directed. Misuse or failure to follow safety warnings could result in damage to hair or scalp including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on children. Wear appropriate gloves. Do not use other developers or a higher volume than recommended. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes; to do so may cause blindness. If mixture does get into eyes, rinse out immediately with lukewarm water. If irritation persists, get medical attention. If your client needs to wear contact lenses during application and mixture gets into eyes, remove lenses first, then flush immediately with lukewarm water. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with lukewarm water and get medical attention if irritation (including redness, burning, irritation, pain, or itching) occurs. If irritation occurs, stop further chemical processing. Do not apply powder or mixture directly to scalp; irritation or blistering could occur. For off-scalp applications: Important! Do not use heat. Use only with recommended foils (see instructions for use). Keep off the scalp and away from client’s face, eyes and neck to avoid burns, irritation or other injury. Use only with off-scalp techniques designed to protect scalp from contact with product. For on-scalp applications: Important! Do not use heat. Do not use mixture with over 30 volume (9%) developer for on-scalp techniques; irritation or blistering could occur. Examine client’s scalp, if there are any cuts, scratches or abrasions, or if scalp is sensitive or irritated, do not proceed. Client should not shampoo his or her hair for two days prior to frosting (highlighting; lightening); to do so could over stimulate scalp and cause sensitivity. Do not brush hair hard before using. Brush lightly only to remove hair spray residue. Wait at least two weeks before using this product on a new perm. Do not use if your client’s hair has been processed with a hair straightener or relaxer. Do not use metallic dyes, color restorers, compound hennas, hennas or semi-permanent hair color. Wait until hair treated with these products has grown out or semi-permanent hair color has washed away. Hair breakage or discoloration could result. Do not use on brittle or damaged hair.
