Creating hairstyles with Proxelli

Here’s how to create Hollywood waves:

Here’s how to create Hollywood waves:

  1. Make a side parting by positioning a comb at the center of the eyebrow and run it back. Prep hair with curl hold spray.
  2. Make a horizontal sectioning at the bottom (from ear to ear) and clip away the rest of the hair.
  3. Place the Proxelli LANI straightener parallel to the parting, pointing towards the face. Rotate the straightener a full turn and glide away from the head. (Tip: halfway down pull away from the face for a softer end.)
  4. Continue by repeating step 3. Always point the straightener in the same direction.
  5. Repeat these steps on the opposite side, but the straightener will now be pointing away from the face.
  6. Using an oval brush, dress out to create smooth waves, then back combe hair at the roots to set the style and add movement to the waves. Lock the curls with a strong hairspray.

  1. Create an extreme side parting by positioning your comb at the end of your eyebrow and run it backward. Now most of the hair is off to one side. Use some serum or hair oilto smoothen the hair and keep baby hairs at bay.
  2. Next, take hair from that side and create a Dutch braid from the front hairline to the nape area. (The Dutch braid technique is a reverse French or 3-strand braid). Add hair from the front and continue.
  3. Gently pinch and pull apart each section of the braid with your thumb and index finger (pancaking) to give it volume. Now the braid will appear fuller.
  4. Secure the braid with an elastic and pin it under a strand of hair. Curl the hair with the Proxelli Leya straightenerin order to obtain structured waves.
  5. Lightly brush through waves.

  1. Prep with a curl hold spray and create a center parting. Leave a horizontal section at the bottom and put the rest of the hair up with a clip.
  2. Curl with the Proxelli LANI straightener.Hold the straightener horizontally and place it in the hair at the roots. Rotate the styler 360 degrees and gently pull down the hair to create a wave. (If desired, drop the hair out of the styler right before you reach the ends to create a loose, relaxed end instead of a bouncy one.)
  3. Roll and pinthe hair while still hot and let it cool to set the curl. Repeat until entire head is curled and pinned.
  4. Once the hair is cool, remove pins and comb out the curls. Lift and mist with a volume spray.
