The Nioxin System
The Nioxin range consists of 4 systems, numbered 1-4. The system you choose will depend on your client's hair type and the level of thinning.
Each Nioxin system is a 3-step regime that consists of a shampoo, a conditioner, and a leave-in treatment. Each product is available to purchase individually or together as kit.
Just like a proper skincare routine involves cleansing, moisturising and using specialised treatments, a Nioxin regimen follows the same principles.
There are also 4 Advanced Power Treatments to address specific concerns relating to hair loss and thinning, plus shampoos, styling products, and scalp treatments which can be used alone or in conjunction with your chosen Nioxin System.
Which Nioxin System Kit do I need?
Choosing the appropriate kit for your client begins with determining the extent of hair thinning.
Firstly, assess if the hair has decreased in density to the point where the scalp is visible through the hair. If the scalp is visible, the client requires a progressed thinning kit, (System Kit 2 or 4). If the hair maintains a good density and the scalp is not easily seen, then opt for a light thinning kit, (System Kit 1 or 3).
Next, consider whether the hair is natural or has been chemically treated. If your client's hair is untreated, opt for a Natural kit, (System Kit 1 or 2). However, if the hair has been chemically treated, is dry, damaged, or falls under curly or coily hair types, then a coloured, dry or damaged kit the ideal choice, (System Kit 3 or 4).
System 4
Nioxin System 4 is for damaged, dry or colour-treated hair with progressed thinning.
What does each Nioxin System Kit contain?
Each Nioxin System Kit contains a shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment to foster an optimal environment for hair growth.
1. Shampoo. Firstly, establish a clean, debris-free surface on the scalp by removing impurities and excess sebum that can clog hair follicles.
2. Conditioner. Similar to our skin, the scalp requires adequate moisturisation and nourishment which can be achieved with the unique scalp and hair conditioner to ensure balanced moisture levels from root to tip.
3. Leave-In Treatment. Lastly, instantly add thickness and fullness with the scalp & hair leave-in treatment to boost hair density.
