Using Olaplex correctly is the key to getting the strongest, healthiest results from the system. Each product has a specific role, but the routine follows a simple order:
1. Start with Olaplex No.0 (optional but powerful)
- Apply to dry hair from root to tip.
- Saturate thoroughly and leave on for 10 minutes.
- This primes the hair for deeper repair.
2. Follow with Olaplex N°.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment
- Apply directly over No.0.
- At the shampoo bowl, before shampooing, apply N°.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment from roots to ends on wet hair.
- Leave for 3 minutes, then rinse well. Follow with OLAPLEX shampoo & conditioner.
3. Cleanse with Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo
- Massage into the scalp and work through the lengths.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- This step rebuilds bonds while gently cleansing.
4. Condition with Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner
- Apply mid‑lengths to ends.
- Leave for 3 minutes before rinsing.
- Hair feels softer, smoother, and more manageable.
5. Protect and style with Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother, No.7 Bonding Oil, or No.9 Bond Protector Serum:
- No.6 Bond Smoother: A leave‑in cream for frizz control and moisture.

Using Olaplex on hair extensions will help to prolong their life and keep them in tip-top condition. Clean your human hair extensions and keep them soft with Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. Treat damage with Olaplex N°.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment. Use Olaplex No.1 and No.2 when colouring to help prevent damage, or as a standalone reparative treatment. Human hair extensions have the same styling needs as your own hair, so treat them to Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother and No. 7 Bonding Oil to protect against heat damage and frizz, while smoothing hair and adding shine.
