Hair and beauty treatments you can do on yourself – and share with your clients - during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The best at-home pamper treatments (because you and your clients REALLY deserve a treat right now)

Want some TLC during the coronavirus lockdown? We’ve rounded up some easy hair and beauty pamper treatments to do at home. You can also send them to your hair and beauty clients to give them a boost, too.

De-stress hand massage

Relieve some of your stress with a relaxing hand massage. Check out this aromatherapy shower. It’s super easy to do: simply add a few drops of your favourite essential oil onto a damp flannel and put on the shower floor. The steam from the shower will release the lovely smell. Try lavender for a calming shower or peppermint for a pick-me-up boost.

At-home body scrub

This is a great DIY pamper treatment to share with your clients (after you’ve tried it on yourself of course!)

There are lots of different body scrubs you can make, depending on what you have in your cupboards at home. Try mixing:

  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • quarter teaspoon of vanilla extract

Watch this Buzzfeed video for other body scrub recipes. Check out our range of professional body scrubs.

Eye treatment

Reduce any puffy eyes and dark circles with this DIY eye treatment. Create a relaxing zone in your house, dim the lights and lie back for 10 minutes with any of the following placed gently over your eyes:

  • Chamomile teabags that have been left to cool
  • Slices of cucumber
  • Cold potato slices

DIY hair treatment

Give your hair a boost by making at-home hair masks. You can also send the recipes to your customers - along with diet tips for healthy hair - so they can give their hair some TLC before their next appointment.

If you have dry or damaged hair, mix together:

  • 1 ripe banana, well mashed
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Massage into damp hair and leave for 30 minutes. We’ve also got lots of professional hair masks and treatments you can use on yourself at home.

Overnight hand treatment

Got dry or cracked skin from all the extra handwashing? This is a super simple - and effective - overnight pamper tip for you (and one your clients will love too.)

  • 1. Wash and dry your hands.
  • 2. Rub Vaseline into your hands (give yourself a hand massage at the same time).
  • 3. Pop a clean sock on each hand… and go to sleep.

Steam facial

Thoroughly cleanse your face first. Carefully fill a bowl with a few cups of boiled water and add a few drops of essential oils. Put your face about 18 inches away from the bowl and then cover your head with a towel to trap in the steam. A few minutes should be enough. For the ultimate pamper, follow with a clay mask.

Stay inspired
