Discover the hair care range designed to deliver styles tailored to all hair types—while limiting damage from extreme heat. The performance of Dyson styling tools is the result of over a decade of research—exploring everything from hair structure to airflow dynamics, with a focus on the impact of thermal, mechanical, and chemical damage. Since 2017, we have surveyed and interviewed 696 hairstylists¹ to better understand their environments, routines, and needs. Dyson engineers have studied and addressed the challenges they face daily. A typical stylist sees between 4 and 16 clients per day, spending an average of 30 to 60 minutes styling each one², adjusting the angle of the hair dryer up to 30 times in a single session. Repetitive strain injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, are common in the profession. These insights led to the creation of the Dyson Supersonic r™ hair dryer—an agile, adaptable tool designed to meet real-world demands, delivering both superior styling results and an enhanced professional experience.
