We’re super excited to share our latest Salon Services podcast with none other than hairdressing icon Andrew Barton.
Andrew shares some of the key things he’s learnt in the three decades he’s worked as a hairdresser and says, “There have been some highlight moments that made me feel proud of what I’ve achieved.”
“That’s included being crowned hairdresser of the year, working on TV shows as a hair expert and there’s something about having your consumer hair range on supermarket shelves around the world!”

What are Andrew Barton’s top tips for making it as a hairdresser?
Andrew shares the top five things he’s learnt over the years including the power of education. He has set up the Andrew Barton London Education (ABLE) programme for students studying hairdressing.
Andrew also talks about the importance of giving something back - he’s an ambassador for The Little Princess Trust - and says, “A lot of the charity of work I do gives me a lot of enjoyment and the ABLE scholarship programme is about me creating a legacy for the future of British hairdressing.”
