Fancy working with celebrities or creating your own range of beauty products? The hair and beauty industry is an exciting place to work. And when it comes to your career, there’s no limit to the opportunities out there.

1. Working on a super yacht
Looking for a career outside the salon when you qualify? Then what about being a hairdresser or beauty therapist on a super yacht? Not only will you get to work with lots of exciting clients, you’ll be travelling the world when you do it. Result!.
According to one recent job listing, you could expect to earn a basic rate of around £21,000 and could top £45,000 with tips and bonuses.
2. Product designer
Working with hair, skin and nails every day, you know which products you like to use… and where there is a gap in the market.
So why not use this knowledge to create your own products? Take inspiration from award-winning nail technician Amy G who designed her own range of nail art with Edge Nails. 3. Beauty blogger and influencer
Want a side hustle during your hair and beauty training? Why not set up a blog.
The 2019 UK Bloggers Survey found around 30% of bloggers charge between £100 and £250 for each post. The most popular influencers charge around £1,000 per post.

4. Body painter
Do you love the creative side of beauty? Then why not explore a career in bodypainting. It’s a great step into TV and commercial work: you could get booked for magazine shoots, adverts or fashion shows.
Not only that, you get to demonstrate your creativity every day by painting incredible artwork onto your models.
5. Educator
As a hair and beauty student, you know exactly what makes a good teacher (and what doesn't!). So why not use your first-hand knowledge from the classroom and become a hair and beauty educator.
You could try contacting different brands you like to see if they have any educator positions available.
You’ll also need to complete extra qualifications before you train other hair and beauty professionals.
6. Hair loss specialist
Hair loss is surprisingly common both in women and men. And according to the NHS, this hair loss and thinning can be caused by a number of things including stress or illness.
Why not train as a trichologist and help clients who are affected.
