The Tape In 2.0 extensions are fitted using an adhesive sandwich technique. The stylist sections the natural hair and places one extension underneath the selected section. A second extension is positioned above the natural hair so that the two adhesive surfaces meet around the hair. The extensions should be placed at an appropriate distance from the scalp, allowing the natural hair to move comfortably without unnecessary tension. Once fitted, the hair can be cut, blended and styled to create the desired result.

Tape extensions need professional maintenance as the natural hair grows. As a general guide, DeepIN recommends checking tape extensions at around six weeks, with removal and re-taping/refitting typically taking place at approximately 6–8 weeks depending on hair growth, extension condition and maintenance needs.
