How Your Salon Can Make the Most of Black Friday 2026

When is Black Friday 2026?
This year Black Friday falls on 27th November while Cyber Monday is on 30th November. Make sure you mark these dates on your calendar — shoppers are predicted to spend an average of £430 each over the Black Friday weekend, and beauty products are among the top planned purchases, with 24% of shoppers looking to pick them up at a discount.* It's a shopping event your salon can't afford to miss. Here's how to make it work for yours.
Plan a Black Friday Promotion
Your customers are in the mindset to spend, so why not make the most of this by running a Black Friday promotion? This could be anything from a VIP customer deal, multibuys or even some great limited discounts - anything to catch their attention and make sure they spend with you! Here are our top 7 ideas for making the most of Black Friday.
1. Reward referrals
Boost sales and find new clients? Yes please! One way to use Black Friday in your salon is to run a time-limited referral campaign. This would see you asking existing clients to recommend you to their friends. And these word-of-mouth referrals are marketing gold! Research from Neilsen found 92% of people trust their friend’s recommendations over any form of advertising**. You could offer a free product, add a complementary treatment onto their service, or a small percentage off their next treatment if their friend books in during November for example.
2. Focus on Solution Bundles
Why not bundle up your most popular products and create a luxury skincare, haircare or nailcare packages for your clients or create exclusive Black Friday treatment packages? These could be themed, for example: the stress-relief package, the hydration package and so on. These are perfect in the run-up to Christmas and party season.
3. Make it exclusive
We all like to feel special and your clients are no different. So, when it comes to creating any sort of Black Friday promotion, make it feel as exclusive as possible. This could mean limiting the number of special treatments you offer or putting a time limit on when customers need to book in by. You could also create VIP promotions for your regular customers, making them feel extra special.
4. Use Social Media
Black Friday is a busy time, with everyone from shops to restaurants offering special deals. To stand out from your competition, make sure you’re talking (or even shouting!) about your Black Friday promotions on social media. This could be as simple as a countdown to 27th November, reminding your clients what you’re offering. Or you could run a competition on social media offering a Black Friday bundle as a prize. Competitions are a great way to grow your followers: you could ask people to follow you and tag friends to enter for example.
5. Don't like discounts?
Black Friday is known for big discounts, but these don’t work for every business. If discounting your products or services doesn’t work for you, you can make your Black Friday promotion sound luxurious and upsell instead! This means rather than offering money off, add extra things in. A free hand massage, a complimentary product, or a little goody bag are all ways to make clients feel they are getting a good deal.
6. Run a 'cheapest free' promotion
Another clever way to entice customers - and fill your appointment book through the rest of the year - is to offer a ‘cheapest free’ campaign. This would see clients book in for five treatments for example, and they’d get (you guessed it!) the cheapest one free. You could even add terms and conditions which means your client has to book their ‘free’ treatment for January which is typically a quieter month.
7. Create a Black Friday gift card
Why not market gift cards for your clients to tie in with Black Friday? And in the spirit of getting a bargain, offer them added value: for example, they buy a gift card for £25, and you’ll top up the value to £30. You can even market these gift cards as great Christmas presents for the person who has everything except “me time”!
How You Can Take Advantage of Great Black Friday Beauty Deals
Black Friday isn't just a great time to treat your clients — it's one of the smartest times of year to invest in your business. With Christmas just weeks away and your appointment book filling up fast, the last thing you want is to run short on key products or be working with kit that's seen better days. Stocking up now means you go into the festive season prepared, not scrambling.
Here's how to make it work for you:
Prioritise your consumables first. Hair colour, bleach, wax, gel polish — these are the products you'll burn through fastest over Christmas. Use Black Friday to get ahead and buy more than you normally would. Running out of a core product mid-December is a headache nobody needs.
Think about electricals. If your dryer, clippers or straighteners are due an upgrade, Black Friday is the time to do it. Replacing tired tools before peak season rather than after means you're performing at your best when it matters most.
Consider buying in bulk. Our bulk deals let you save more the more you buy, making Black Friday an ideal moment to stock up on the staples you know you'll use. Check out our bulk offers to see what's available.
Sign up for early access. We send our best Black Friday deals to email subscribers first, including exclusive offers you won't find anywhere else. If you're not signed up yet, make sure you are before 27th November.
Shop early. The best deals on popular professional products go quickly. Don't leave it to the last minute — add your wishlist items to your saved products now so you're ready to go when the deals land.
