5 Looks your clients will be asking for this season

New Year, perfect time for some fresh new trends. Whether you’re a salon owner or you make your money mobile, in the age of social media it’s important to be up to date with the new season trends. Our experts have pulled together the 5 key looks that your clients will be asking for this season.

The Winter/Spring transition feels luxurious and sophisticated, combining elements of the 70s with modern day influences. Opulent warm golds are mixed with luxe peach and soft textures meet bouncy volume.

Warm strawberry tones are central to this trend. Providing a sophisticated richness, deep, intense colours give one-dimensional, youthful result. Alternatively, create a gold-dipped look with a multi-tonal application that mixes light blonde with darker, ginger shades.

We recommend XP100 Intense Radiance to achieve an intense colour pay off.

Modern Vintage

Towing the line between retro and modern, loose, blow-dried hair gives a relaxed yet sophisticated look. Products are key for the desired semi-matte finish. Lightweight volume spray helps lift the roots and add body; styling cream creates moisture, subtle shine and a polished finish.

We recommend Wildest Dreams Extensions, to enhance the natural locks & Maria Nila Finish & Style Mousse for medium hold.

Peachy Keen

Retro shades are all the rage across eyes and lips this season. Gloss is also a staple across eyelids for added impact. Shadow should be taken up to the brow line, into the corner and under the lower lash line to create a striking look.

We recommend Lord & Berry Blush in Peach, & Dr Paw Paw Tinted Peach Pink Balm for a fresh peachy look.

Throwback

Mix retro and contemporary for a fresh approach. Hair is grown out and styled with soft waves that gently frame the face, or create side flicks for a more casual look.

We recommend Maria Nila Gneiss Moulding Paste, for a thick and texturised finish..

This approach is all about adding intensity and depth to natural hair. Focus on enhancing blonde with rich caramel and honey highlights. Applied all over the head, or on the ends for a dip-dyed effect, the end result is full of depth.

We recommend XP200 Natural Flair, for long lasting natural colour.
