Boss your balayage with L’Oréal Professionnel | Salon Services

L’Oréal Professionnel’s French Balayage

Discover how L’Oréal Professionnel’s French Balayage can refresh your service menu, and revisit their bestselling care ranges for long-lasting maintenance.

Balayage remains one of the most popular services with blonde clients, so we’re giving it a refresh with some help from L’Oréal Professionnel. You’ll discover how you can recreate one of their most popular techniques, experience the colours that offer vibrant and premium-looking results, and also revisit their bestselling aftercare ranges. All of these combined will maximise the profit-boosting opportunities for your salon or freelance business.

L’Oréal Professionnel French Balayage

It all begins with the perfect technique, and it doesn’t come any better than the famous L’Oréal Professionnel French Balayage. So, before we dive into the aftercare that will keep your client’s hair vibrant after they’ve left the salon, let’s rediscover how to create the perfect balayage.

Step One

Mix the Blond Studio 9 Lightening Powder with the Blond Studio 9 Oil Developer 30 Vol at a 1:1 ratio and apply onto hair with the V-technique. Leave to develop for the recommended time.

Step Two

For the roots, mix ¾ Dia Light 9.13 and ¼ Dia Light 9.21 with the L'Oréal Professionnel Dia Activateur 9 Vol at a 1:1 ratio and apply on the roots.

Step Three

For the mid-lengths and ends, mix ¾ Dia Light 10.12 and ¼ Dia Light 10.21 with the L'Oréal Professionnel Dia Activateur 9 Vol. Leave to develop for the recommended time before rinsing out thoroughly.

Metal Detox: The perfect partner to your client’s balayage

One of the causes of colour fading is copper extracts from water pipes, creating unwanted yellow tones during the development process. From Serie Expert, Metal Detox features three care products that neutralise and remove metals from the hair. When used together, Metal Detox creates a reliable base before your client’s balayage hair colour service and a nourishing at-home care routine.

What products are in the Metal Detox range?

Metal Detox Pre-Treatment Spray

This trade only pre-treatment spray neutralises coppers in the hair before colour treatments, including balayage and lightening services.

Metal Detox Shampoo

This anti-metal shampoo gently cleanses and protects hair against excess copper following all colour and lightening treatments.

Metal Detox Hair Mask

This award-winning care mask prevents copper particles from returning to the hair and causing further colour damage.

How do I use Metal Detox with a balayage treatment?

Now that you know how Metal Detox works, see how the range will boost your client’s French Balayage with this step-by-step guide from L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Squad Member Jayde Collins.

Haircare Heroes: Serie Expert

L’Oréal Professionnel’s Serie Expert collection was created by the brand’s scientists and hair artists to offer optimal results on all hair types. Alongside Metal Detox, we have picked three of Serie Expert’s profit-boosting ranges to retail on to clients that will help keep their balayage hair colour salon-bright at home.

Vitamino Color

Vitamino Color boosts hair colour intensity and shine, a perfect choice for at-home balayage maintenance. Using an anti-oxidant complex and UV filters, it gives hair up to 8 weeks of protection against colour fading.

Absolut Repair

Absolut Repair features a repairing shampoo, conditioner and mask containing ingredients that balayage hair needs to stay strong. The range uses a soft blend of gold quinoa and protein to deeply nourish hair and reduce surface damage while adding up to seven times more shine.

Blondifier

Blondifier replenishes and tones blonde hair while treating inner damage. Each care product uses acai berry extract to neutralise brassiness and smooth the hair cuticle, leaving your client’s blonde balayage brighter and more nourished.
